Josefsson’s work occupies a space between that which persists and endures, and that which unceasingly oscillates. The work, by distingushing what’s already given, from that which constantly changes, relegates the viewer to a kind of in-between space where this ‘something’ becomes the object of his or her search. In the images it may be found in the light, in the approaching darkness, or through absence.
The show revolves around a video-piece. In it, a dancer articulates a space by virtue of her bodily movement, whilst a running persons room on the other hand is already laid out in front of him.
Josefsson’s work relates to us, through videos and photographs, the sense of inadequacy we may experience in relation to others. This feeling of being inept, and projecting our self onto others in order to understand ourselves better, brings with it the the risk of abandoning ourselves in the process.
