Mattias F. Josefsson is an architect and photographer based in Oslo. He is educated at Bergen Architecture School, ETH Zurich and at Edinburgh College of Art. Josefsson is an assistant professor in the Landscape and Urbanisme department at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) and teaches in the Bergen School of Architecture (BAS).
Mattias has exhibited at Gallery Melk Oslo, Gallery ROM Oslo, Ogura Gallery Japan, Paul H. Cocker Architecture Gallery Canada and in the Venice Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. He has been participating in residency at NKDale, Norway and CCA Kitakyushu, Japan. He has assisted the Norwegian photographer Tom Sandberg and the American artist Jimmy Durham. His images have been published in Divisare, Dezeen, D2 and Arkitektur N.
Josefsson, has together with his colleague Anders Sletten Eide been shortlisted for the Hunter Douglas Award in Madrid 2015. He worked two years as an architect for the office EriksenSkajaa Arkitekter in Oslo but runs today his own practise as an architect and photographer. Mattias is a member of the team Dugnad Days that are working with participating processes in Bydel Bjerke
